Leo Metzker – ‘The Best Medicine’
Sydney ectomorph of seventy kilos, Leo Metzker, enjoys the sight of bare teeth and crow’s feet. Dissecting humour to laparoscopic detail is a passion and he writes in the hope of seeing multiple epiglotti. Currently, Leo is a presenter on Eastside Radio. He also dabbles in the arrangement of funk and soul music. Seventies grooves inhabit his right hemisphere and comedy inhabits the left.
Will York – ‘Hubert’
Will York is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has keen interest in prose, playwriting and performing pub poetry.
He is an experienced creative practitioner having produced theatre in both university and independent venues. He was accepted into ATYP’s 2022 Fresh Ink Playwriting Program under the mentorship of Sarah Reuben. In 2023, he participated in the Regional Arts Australia’s ‘Regional Scribes’ program.
He currently lives in the tropical top end of the Northern Territory on Larrakia land. He is an AWARD School (creative advertising) graduate, has been a ghost writer for newspaper columns and has been published in airplane magazines as a freelance journo.
Now Will is collecting the sweat from his time in the Territory and using it as ink for his new work.
Dell Brand – ‘Winfale Park’
Dell was a high school teacher, now she writes books. She has written numerous books, including four children’s books called the History’s a Mystery series. She has many other interests in life including family history, golf and scrap-booking. Both she and her husband like to travel and spend many months of every year either exploring Australia in their motorhome or enjoying extended trips overseas. And they both love spending time with their five funtastic grandchildren.
